Victor P Becker

- Becker, Victor P., 70, dairy farmer and township road maintenance worker, died Oct. 1, 2012 in Wichita. He was born Dec. 25, 1941 in Cheney, Kan., to John Peter Becker and Barbara Ann Hilger; they preceded him in death. He married Jeanette Knoblauch on Feb. 6, 1965 in Mt. Vernon, Kan.; she survives. Other survivors include sons, Patrick (Heidi) Becker of Cheney, and Marvin (Melissa) Becker of Plano, TX; brother, Ed Becker (Brenda), Cheney; sisters, Agnes (Donald) Metzen, Viola, Kan., Mary Jo (Darryl) Smythe, Tampa, Fla., and Donna (Tom) Rausch, Viola; grandchildren, Keri, Nathan, Macy, Alex, Jonny, and Lydia Becker. A Rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 and Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ost, Kan. Fr. Ivan Eck will celebrate the Mass. Interment will be at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, Kan. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at Wulf-Ast Mortuary, Garden Plain. Memorials to St. Joseph Catholic School or St. Rose Catholic Church.
