Blake was born in Wichita, KS and lived in the Delano area his entire life. Just after Blake graduated High-School he had started a little family and was blessed with 2 beautiful daughters Kimberly now 11, and Daisy now 10.

Blake tragically lost his life at 12:40 am on February 23, 2022 at the age of 30 years. Blake was a father, son, brother, and nephew to his surviving family and his many friends. Born premature Blake spend most of his first year in the hospital. Blake came home the later part of his first year to be with his mom, dad, and brother. Blake was a happy and funny little guy. Blake was a perfect baby. More perfect that parents could ever ask for.

Blake was an active and very talented young man. MYX Bike racing at 6 years old, and skateboard pro by 8. He liked and had a talent for art and many other things. By Blakes 10th year he had a great love for music. By his first year of Jr High Blake wanted to learn to play guitar and became a musician just like his father. He got his first guitar of many that first year and learned the basic skills from his father. Blake worked very hard to express excellence as a musician. Blake learned to sing and play many instruments the rest of his life. Blake spent many years as an adult going to the gym almost every day working out and lifting weights. He had the look of a body builder. He had worked so hard for it. Blake was blessed at an early age with 2 beautiful daughters Kimberly now 11 and Daisy now 10. Blakes 2 daughters were his greatest loves of his life.

Blake chose a career as a young man to be an arborist (tree trimmer). Blake worked very hard to be the Best he could be as an arborist.

Blake did leave a great big mark in this world in a short period of time, and will never be forgotten by family, family and many others.

Surviving family members that live on to honor the life of Blake Barnes are his daughters: Kimberly and Daisy Barnes; living parents: Douglas and Pamela Barnes; older brother: Michael Barnes; grandparents: Lynn White and Russell Barnes; and Blakes most favorite of all is his Aunt Stefanie Barnes and uncle Regg; extended family of Blakes: the living parent of Blakes 2 daughters Kimberly and Daisy, Kenny and Heather Vennum; grandparents Marty and Bonnie Mork; plus many other family members and a a long list of friends.

Blake had a great love for life. Never did he beg for help when it was much needed or did he ever want to cause trouble for himself or others.

Blake should be remembered as a free spirited sole loved by all and never to be forgotten.

Blakes father found a quote written by Blake on one of his favorite guitar amps. In white ink Blake wrote, "Excellence is the best ink with which to make your mark in this world."

Indeed he did leave a huge mark in this world.

A memorial for Blake has been set for Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at Courtyard by Marriott in Old Town, 820 E 2nd St N, 2nd floor, salon A-B and C.

A funeral for Blake has been planned for a later date at Resthaven Mortuary and Gardens on West 54 in Wichita, KS.
